Designed as a user-friendly resource for specialists, mining houses and regulators, the guide builds on existing information to provide a consolidated approach towards wetland rehabilitation within the specific constraints and opportunities presented by mining landscapes. The application of this guideline will enable rehabilitation to leave a meaningful and lasting legacy that will, to some extent, compensate for the negative impacts of mining.

The guideline was published by the Water Research Commission (WRC) and is available to the public. Please note that the WRC requires members of the public to register with their knowledge hub in order to access any publications.
